Bio:
Hrant was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. He studied applied mathematics and informatics at Yerevan State University and ultimately earned a PhD degree in graph theory in 2017. Hrant became interested in software engineering during his high school years. He began his career with freelance web development and over the years gradually moved towards more math-intensive programming.
Professionally, Hrant worked as a computer vision engineer at IntelinAir, where he helped to design the core image analytics pipeline of its flagship product Ag-MRI. In 2016, Hrant became the founding director of YerevaNN, a non-profit lab focused on machine learning research. YerevaNN established fruitful collaborations with leading ML professors from the Diaspora and involves increasing number of students in Armenia in cutting-edge research projects.
