Bio:
Mark was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, to a Lebanese-Armenian mother and a New Zealander father. Mark is an identical twin and proud graduate of Clark Magnet High School. In 2015, he won the Elks Most Valuable Student $50,000 scholarship, chosen top from 10,000 applicants nationwide. He attended UC Berkeley, graduating with simultaneous degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration, from the College of Engineering and Haas School of Business, in December 2019. While at Berkeley, Mark co-founded the Momentum Speaker Series, where engineering students shared tips for securing tech internships, and completed two Program Manager internships at Microsoft and one Engineering Program Manager internship at Apple.
Mark is currently a full-time Program Manager at Microsoft, leading engineers to develop new Surface computers. He co-runs The Tech Twins, a YouTube channel aiming to inspire and prepare first-generation students to work in tech and recently taught an online Introduction to MATLAB course through the TUMO Center in Armenia. He aspires to lead companies that tackle the greatest challenges of his generation, including climate change and economic stratification.
